Based in Cambridge the Principal Optical Design Engineer will be joining a globally successful company focused in the design of optics and wavelength technology. The Senior Optical Design Engineer will be joining the expanding optical design team, developing the next generation of wavelength optical technology from definition, concept through to manufacture.


The successful candidate will have a proven background in optical systems development, either from academia or industry. Post doc through to Principal Team Lead can be considered for this role. Other areas of interest include:

* Free space optical design, fibre-coupled IR systems and Optical Relay
* Optical modelling techniques (Zemax preferred, but others considered)
* Experience of the following would be beneficial: Spatial light modulators, LCoS or MEMS
